- Blend the base ingredients. To a high-speed blender, add avocados, lime juice, water, maple syrup, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Add herbs and seasonings. Next, add in the chopped cilantro and Italian seasoning and mix by hand.
- Chill and store. Cover tightly and refrigerate; use within 4-5 days for best quality.
- Let the flavors mingle. For best flavor, allow the dressing to rest for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Adjust flavor if desired. If you prefer a tangier flavor, use extra lime juice instead of water.
- Add some heat if you like. To make it spicy, blend in 1 to 2 jalapenos and some red pepper flakes.
- Store any leftovers. Transfer any leftover dressing to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 4 to 5 days. Stir well before serving if needed.
Notes
Let the dressing chill for longer for deeper flavor development. You can use regular yogurt instead of vegan yogurt if you're not following a vegan diet.
