Ingredients
  

For the Marinade and Dressing
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar Provides tangy acidity.

  • 1/2 tsp ground white pepper Adds subtle heat.
For the Salad
  • 1 lb sirloin or rib eye steak The star ingredient.
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce Provides crisp texture.
  • 1 cup vine tomatoes, chopped Adds juiciness.
  • 1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced Adds vibrant color.
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled Rich and tangy addition.
  • 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, sliced Enhances the salad's flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Whisk all the marinade and dressing ingredients into a bowl.
  2. Place the steak into a shallow dish and pour 1/3 of the prepared marinade and dressing over it.
  3. Gently massage the steak to ensure even distribution of the marinade on all sides.
  4. Allow the steak to sit for 15 minutes to reach room temperature.
  5. While the steak marinates, prepare the chopped vegetables for the salad.
Cooking
  1. Brush the grill or a heavy-bottom pan with oil and preheat over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the steak on both sides for about 5 minutes in total for medium-rare.
  3. Remove the steak from the grill or pan and allow it to rest for a few minutes.
  4. Slice the steak into 1/2-inch thick pieces, slicing against the grain.
Assembly
  1. Combine the tomatoes, onion, and lettuce in a large salad bowl.
  2. Add the sliced steak and pour the remaining dressing over the top.
  3. Garnish with crumbled blue cheese and toss well before serving.

Notes

Allow your steak to rest before cutting to retain its juices. Consider using feta or cotija cheese for a different flavor. Customize with additional vegetables or dressings.
