Ingredients
  

For the Maple Glaze
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Adds richness and helps to caramelize the corn.
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Provides natural sweetness and creates a lovely glaze.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds a savory depth of flavor to the glaze.
  • 1 tablespoon El Yucateco Black Label Reserve hot sauce Brings the heat and enhances the sweetness.
For the Corn
  • 4 ears fresh corn The star ingredient that’s juicy and sweet.
  • to taste salt Enhances all the flavors.
  • to taste pepper Adds a hint of spice.
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapenos Optional garnish for an extra kick.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Make the glaze by heating the butter, maple syrup, minced garlic, and hot sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat until melted. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Grill the corn for 9-10 minutes, turning once until heated through.
  3. Brush with the maple glaze and grill for an additional 3-4 minutes, rotating and brushing with more glaze occasionally.
  4. If flare-ups occur, move the corn to one side of the grill until the flames subside.
Serving
  1. Remove the corn from the grill, season with salt and pepper, and garnish with pickled jalapenos before serving.

Notes

For an extra flavor layer, marinate the corn in glaze before grilling. Keep grill at medium heat to prevent burning.
