Method
 

Preparation
  1. Make the glaze. Using a small saucepan, add the butter, maple syrup, minced garlic, and hot sauce.
  2. Heat the glaze over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter is fully melted.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer the glaze for 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce grill heat to medium and grill corn for 9 to 10 minutes, turning once.
  3. Brush corn with maple glaze and grill for 3 to 4 more minutes, rotating ears and brushing with additional glaze occasionally.
  4. If the grill flares up slightly from the glaze, move the corn over and continue grilling.
Serving
  1. Remove corn from grill and add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Garnish with pickled jalapenos before serving if desired.

Notes

Use fresh corn for the best flavor. Adjust the amount of hot sauce based on your heat preference. Store any leftover corn in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
