Ingredients

For the Margarita
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice Provides a tangy base flavor.
  • 1 slices jalapeño Adds a spicy kick; remove seeds for less heat.
  • 1 cup ripe mango Creates a sweet and smooth texture.
  • 2 oz silver tequila Brings a classic margarita foundation.
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice Enhances the drink's tangy flavor.
  • 2 slices lime Used for garnishing.
  • 1 tbsp Tajin seasoning For rimming the glass for added flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Prepare the glass rims: Add tajin onto a small plate, wet the rim of two glasses by rubbing a lime wedge around the top edge, then dip it into the tajin. Set them aside.
  2. Infuse the juice: In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh orange juice and jalapeño slices. Muddle by crushing the peppers with a muddler or back of a spoon for 30 seconds, then strain and pour into a high-speed blender.
  3. Make the margarita: Add fresh mango cubes, tequila, and lime juice to the blender with the spicy orange juice and blend until completely smooth. Adjust sweetness or strength as desired.
  4. For a frozen variation: Use frozen mango, add it to the blender with tequila and lime juice along with spicy orange juice, then blend with ice cubes until smooth.
Serving
  1. Pour the margarita into the tajin-rimmed glasses, garnish with lime wedges and extra jalapeño slices, and enjoy!
