Ingredients

Cocktail Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice Provides a citrusy sweetness that complements the mango.
  • 1 slice jalapeño Adds a spicy kick; removing seeds lessens the heat.
  • 1 medium ripe mango The star ingredient that brings natural sweetness and creaminess.
  • 2 oz silver tequila The base spirit, known for its smooth flavor.
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice Adds zesty brightness to the drink.
  • 2 slices fresh jalapeño For garnishing and extra heat if desired.
  • 1 slice lime Used for garnish and enhancing flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Tajin seasoning Perfect for rimming glasses, providing a savory contrast.

Method

Preparation
  1. Rim the glasses: Add Tajin onto a small plate. Wet the rim of two glasses by rubbing a lime wedge around the top edge, then dip it into the Tajin. Set them aside.
  2. Infuse the juice: In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh orange juice and jalapeño slices, then muddle them by crushing with a muddler for 30 seconds.
  3. Blend the base: Strain the infused juice and pour it into a high-speed blender.
  4. Add mango and tequila: Include fresh mango cubes, tequila, and lime juice into the blender with the infused juice. Blend until smooth.
  5. Taste and adjust: You may add more orange juice or mango for sweetness, or more tequila for a stronger flavor.
  6. Make it frozen (optional): For a frozen variant, add the frozen mango and blend until smooth. Add ice cubes and blend until you reach the desired consistency.
  7. Pour and garnish: Pour into the Tajin-rimmed glasses and garnish with lime wedges and extra jalapeño slices. Enjoy!

Notes

Consider varying the amount of jalapeño to adjust spice levels based on your preference. Serve with extra lime wedges on the side.
