Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for even roasting.
  2. Slice the stem off the pumpkin and halve it lengthwise.
  3. Scoop out the seeds and stringy insides to prepare the pumpkin for roasting.
  4. Slice the halved pumpkin into 3/4 inch thick wedges for uniform cooking.
  5. Place foil on a sheet pan and coat it with cooking spray for easy cleanup.
Cooking
  1. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pour the oil mixture over the pumpkin wedges, making sure each piece is well coated.
  3. Arrange the pumpkin on the prepared sheet pan in a single layer.
  4. Roast in the oven for about 20 minutes or until the pumpkin is tender and starting to brown.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately and enjoy the roasted pumpkin hot as a delicious side dish or snack.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, try adding a pinch of nutmeg or cayenne pepper. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to four days.
