Ingredients

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Boneless and skinless
  • 8 oz pasta Your choice of pasta
  • 1/2 cup pesto Store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For cooking
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil For garnish

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cooking the Chicken
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add sliced chicken breast, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through.
Combining Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, chicken, pesto, and grated Parmesan.
  2. Stir until pasta is well coated and everything is heated through.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil and extra Parmesan as desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken in pesto for a few hours before cooking. You can also use whole grain pasta for added nutrition and fiber.
