Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Beef Steak Choose a tender cut for best results.
  • 2 medium Bell Peppers Use a mix of colors for vibrant presentation.
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Can substitute with tamari for gluten-free.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced for maximum flavor.
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped for sweetness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground for better taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch Used to thicken the sauce.

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice the beef steak into thin strips.
  2. Chop bell peppers and onion into bite-sized pieces.
Marination
  1. In a bowl, combine the steak strips with soy sauce, garlic, and black pepper. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak and sear on each side for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
  2. Stir in the chopped bell peppers and onion. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  3. Mix cornstarch with a splash of water, then pour into the skillet, stirring until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

For even cooking, slice the steak against the grain. Can be modified by adding your favorite veggies like broccoli or snap peas. Meal prep easily and store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
