Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder Adds deep chocolate flavor.
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Gives structure to the brownies.
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar Sweetens the brownie base.
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Adds moisture and a caramel flavor.
  • 3 large Eggs Bind the ingredients together.
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted Ensures the brownies are fudgy and rich.
Pecan Topping
  • 1 cup Pecans, chopped Provide a lovely crunch and nutty taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well blended.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Sift in the cocoa powder and flour, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in half of the pecans into the brownie batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Baking
  1. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining pecans with a bit of brown sugar and sprinkle them over the brownie batter.
  2. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
  3. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing. For an extra boost, add a splash of vanilla extract.
