  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar Adds a touch of sweetness to balance the nuttiness.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Introduces a warm spice that enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • 1 pinch salt Elevates the flavors and brings out the sweetness of the sugar.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Cooking
  1. Spread the pecans on the prepared baking sheet and toast them for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the toasted pecans from the oven and transfer them to a food processor.
  3. Add coconut sugar, cinnamon, and salt to the food processor.
  4. Blend everything until smooth, which might take a few minutes.
  5. Once liquified, scrape the pecan butter into a jar, cover it, and store it in the fridge.

Notes

Test pecans for doneness by smelling them. If the food processor gets warm, pause it to prevent overheating. Store the pecan butter in a cool, dark place for optimal freshness.
