Ingredients

For the Cheese Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Butter (Unsalted) Adds richness and flavor.
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour Thickens the sauce and provides stability.
  • 2 cups Milk (Whole) Creates a creamy base for the sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances the flavors of the ingredients.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika Adds a hint of warmth and smokiness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder Imparts a savory depth of flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder Adds a subtle sweetness and aroma.
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese (Shredded) Provides a tangy flavor and rich texture.
  • 1 cup Pepper jack cheese (Shredded) Introduces a zesty kick.
  • 1 cup Velveeta (Cut into chunks) Ensures an ultra-smooth, creamy finish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Melt unsalted butter in a nonstick saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir in all-purpose flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to eliminate the 'floury' taste.
Cooking
  1. Gradually pour in whole milk while whisking constantly to prevent clumping.
  2. Add salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder, then mix until smooth.
  3. Lower the heat to low.
  4. Gradually add cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, and Velveeta, whisking until all the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
Serving
  1. Turn off the heat and your cheese sauce is ready to be enjoyed!

Notes

Serve as a dip or drizzle over your favorite dishes. For added flavor, consider adding hot sauce or cayenne pepper. For a thicker sauce, let it simmer a little longer before adding the cheeses.
