  • 2 tbsp coconut oil Adds richness to the frosting.
Topping
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts Provides crunch and nutty flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine almond flour, chocolate hazelnut butter, cacao powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until fully combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix cacao powder, maple syrup, and melted coconut oil. Whisk for 1-2 minutes until thickened slightly.
  3. Line a square baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.
  4. Evenly spread the brownie mixture in the lined baking dish.
  5. Pour the chocolate frosting over the brownie layer and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  6. Sprinkle chopped hazelnuts over the frosting.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the frosting sets.
  8. Slice the brownies into bars and serve.
  9. Store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

For best results, chill brownies longer for a firmer texture. You can experiment by adding espresso powder or using dark cacao for a richer frosting. Store in the refrigerator or freeze for later.
