Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, melt butter or heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Add cleaned and sliced mushrooms, cooking until they release moisture and become golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour in vegetable broth, stirring to combine, and let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Reduce the heat and slowly stir in cream or your dairy alternative, allowing it to heat through without boiling.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from heat and serve warm.

Notes
