Toppings

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cracker crumbs, onion, garlic powder, egg, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and seasoning salt blend. Mix just until well incorporated.
  3. Press the meat mixture evenly into a 13'x9' baking dish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until nearly cooked through.
  2. If using store-bought mashed potatoes, heat according to the package instructions and stir in the cheddar cheese. If made from scratch, prepare your mashed potatoes and stir in the cheddar cheese.
  3. Once the meatloaf is cooked, pour off excess grease, and spread the mashed potatoes over the meatloaf.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Mix cracker crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle on top.
  5. Return to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize with different toppings or ingredients like turkey instead of beef. This casserole is perfect for meal prepping.
