Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 1 cup Soy Sauce Savory base for the marinade.
  • 2 tbsp Honey Enhances sweetness and helps the glaze caramelize.
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger, minced Provides a zesty kick.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Adds depth and richness.
  • 1 cup Fresh Mango, chopped Adds natural sweetness.
For the Chicken
  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts Main protein, juicy and tender when cooked right.
For Garnish
  • 2 tbsp Green Onions, sliced For freshness and a pop of color.
  • 1 lime Lime wedges For a zesty finish.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds For a nutty crunch.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced ginger, minced garlic, and chopped mango. Mix well to create the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a sealable bag or bowl, and pour the marinade over them. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium heat. If grilling, oil the grill grates lightly.
  2. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Reserve the marinade for the glaze.
  3. Cook the chicken on the grill or in the skillet for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. While the chicken cooks, pour the reserved marinade into a saucepan. Bring it to a boil and reduce to a simmer until it thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, brush it with the thickened glaze and serve with additional glaze on the side.

Notes

Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavor. This dish can be served with steamed jasmine rice or roasted vegetables, and garnished with chopped cilantro and sesame seeds.
