Preparation

Mixing

Baking
  1. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra moist cake, consider adding a touch of unsweetened applesauce. Use room temperature ingredients to ensure a smooth batter. Cool the cakes completely before frosting to avoid melting your icing.
