Preparation
- Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel; if using breasts, slice them in half horizontally into thin cutlets.
- Sprinkle the chicken on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and oregano.
Cooking
- Add olive oil to a large skillet and heat over medium heat until hot.
- Place the seasoned chicken in the skillet; cook for 3 to 5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter over medium-low heat, then add minced garlic; cook until fragrant.
- Stir in cream, milk, lemon zest, and lemon juice; simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Place the chicken back in the skillet to warm each side for 1 minute in the sauce.
Serving
- Serve immediately, spooning sauce over the chicken, and garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices as desired.
Notes
For best results, consider marinating the chicken beforehand and using freshly minced garlic. Serve with a fresh salad to contrast the richness.
