  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup salsa Use mild for less heat, spicy for more.
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with Monterey Jack for variation.
  • 6 ounces tortilla chips Lightly crushed for better texture.
  • 1 bunch green onions Sliced for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, and salsa until well mixed.
  3. Layer half of the tortilla chips in a casserole dish.
  4. Spread half of the chicken mixture over the chips.
  5. Add a layer of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Repeat the layers with remaining chips, chicken mixture, and cheese.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  2. Remove from the oven and sprinkle sliced green onions on top before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; can be frozen before baking for up to 2 months.
