Preparation
- Squeeze the zucchini to remove all moisture using paper towels.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, zucchini, breadcrumbs, garlic, onion, salt, and pepper.
- Form 5 equal patties, each approximately 4 ounces and not too thick.
Cooking
- Heat a large nonstick skillet on high heat and spray lightly with oil.
- Add burgers to the skillet, reduce heat to low, and cook on one side until browned, then flip.
- Flip burgers a few times to prevent burning and ensure they are cooked through.
- Clean grill well, spray with oil, and cook burgers on medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side or until no longer pink in the center.
- Alternatively, preheat air fryer to 370°F and cook in a single layer in two batches for 10 minutes, turning halfway.
Serving
- Serve the burgers with your favorite toppings such as avocado, Greek yogurt, or pickles.
Notes
Store uncooked patties in the fridge for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Cooked leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days.
