Method
 

Preparation
  1. Whisk all of the first 11 ingredients together in a large bowl until fully combined.
  2. Incorporate the ground turkey, mixing thoroughly with your hands or a spatula until evenly mixed.
  3. Shape the mixture into 6 compact patties, weighing about 6 ounces each.
  4. Place patties on a parchment-lined surface, cover tightly, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 24 hours.
Cooking
  1. Clean the grill grates and grease with vegetable oil. Preheat to high heat.
  2. Grill the cold patties for 5 minutes; flip and continue cooking for another 3 minutes or until reaching 165°F (74°C).
  3. If desired, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each burger for the last 30 seconds of cooking.
Serving
  1. Stack the burgers on hamburger buns and top with your choice of jalapeño slices, spicy mayo, guacamole, tomato, and lettuce.
  2. Keep leftover burgers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
