Preparation
  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the diced jalapeños and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Pour in the water and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a boil.
  4. Stir in the grits and shredded cheddar cheese, combining them well.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the grits simmer for 5-7 minutes until tender.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve topped with extra cheese and jalapeño slices. Enjoy!

Notes
