Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the creamy almond butter and melted coconut oil until smooth.
  3. Incorporate the egg, maple syrup, coconut sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Stir in the flour and baking soda until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Press the cookie dough into an 8'' or 9'' cast iron skillet, smoothing the surface evenly.
  7. Optionally, sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, until barely golden.
  2. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
  3. Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
