Method
 

Preparation
  1. Toast the pecans and walnuts at 350 degrees F for 6-10 minutes if not already toasted.
  2. Soften the raisins in hot water for about 5 minutes, then drain.
Mixing
  1. In a food processor, combine cooled nuts, oats, raisins, and spices. Pulse to blend.
  2. Add molasses and maple syrup, and blend until the mixture starts to clump.
  3. If the mixture is too dry, add a small amount of reserved raisin soaking water and blend again.
Serving
  1. Scoop tablespoon amounts of dough and roll into balls. Optionally roll in cinnamon.
  2. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
