Preparation
  1. Trim your fresh green beans and bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  2. Stir in 2 teaspoons of sea salt; once boiling, carefully add the beans using a slotted spoon.
  3. Allow the green beans to boil for just 2 minutes.
  4. Quickly prepare an ice bath and transfer the beans into the ice bath.
  5. Let them sit in the ice bath for just under a minute, then drain well.
Coating & Serving
  1. Drizzle the green beans with butter or oil of your choice; add garlic, lemon zest, and juice.
  2. Toss well to coat and then arrange on a serving platter.
  3. Sprinkle with freshly shaved Parmesan cheese and freshly ground pepper before serving.

Notes

Use fresh, crisp green beans for the best texture. Adjust garlic to taste and consider using ghee or avocado oil for richer flavor. The ice bath ensures vibrancy and crunch.
