For the dip
  • 1 tbsp butter Used for toasting breadcrumbs, enhancing flavor.

  • 1 tbsp dill pickle juice Provides tang and enhances pickle flavor.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Brightens the overall taste with acidity.
  • 2 cups dill pickles, chopped Adds texture and flavor impact.
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed Gives a savory depth to the dip.
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, chopped Adds mild onion flavor and freshness.
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped Enhances the herbal note in the dip.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning adjustments.
  • to taste hot sauce Optional, for a spicy kick.
For the topping
  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs Adds a crispy texture for topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add Panko bread crumbs to the pan and toast, stirring frequently, for a couple of minutes until crisp and golden brown.
  3. Remove from heat, pour the toasted breadcrumbs into a small bowl to cool, and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, add sour cream, softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning, dill pickle juice, and lemon juice. Add a few drops of hot sauce if desired.
  5. Use an electric hand mixer to blend until well combined.
  6. Stir in chopped pickles, crushed garlic, fresh dill, and chives. Mix thoroughly and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or hot sauce as per your preference.
Assembly
  1. Spoon about half of the sour cream and pickle mixture into a serving dish.
  2. Sprinkle half of the toasted breadcrumbs on top.
  3. Add the remaining sour cream mixture over the breadcrumbs, followed by the remaining breadcrumbs on top.
  4. Serve with potato chips, pita chips, or fresh veggies and enjoy!

Notes

Let the dip chill for at least an hour to deepen the flavors. Use fresh ingredients for the best taste.
