Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 12 large large pretzel rods Provide a sturdy base and delightful crunch.
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips Adds a creamy sweetness.
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips Enhances richness and deep chocolate flavor.
  • 1 cup red candy melts Adds festive color and sweetness.
  • 1 cup blue candy melts Complements the color scheme.
  • 1 cup sprinkles (red, white, and blue) Perfect for decoration.
  • optional miniature stars or other themed decorations For an extra festive touch.
  • optional crushed nuts (such as almonds or peanuts) Adds an extra layer of crunch and flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and ½ teaspoon of vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted (about 1-2 minutes total).
  2. Repeat this process for the milk chocolate chips, red candy melts, and blue candy melts in separate bowls.
Dipping and Decorating
  1. Take a pretzel rod and dip it halfway into the melted white chocolate, swirling to coat evenly. Allow any excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.
  2. Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle your choice of red, white, and blue sprinkles over the dipped half of the pretzel. Optionally, drizzle melted red or blue candy melts over the top.
  3. Place the decorated pretzel rods upright in a glass lined with parchment paper to catch any drips. Repeat the process with the remaining pretzel rods.
Setting and Serving
  1. Allow the pretzel rods to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or place them in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to speed up the hardening process.
  2. Once set, add any additional toppings like crushed nuts or themed decorations. Use melted chocolate to make drizzle patterns over the pretzel rods.
  3. Arrange your pretzel rods on a decorative platter or individual treat bags for easy serving.

Notes

Store any leftover pretzel rods in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for longer storage; use within a month.
