Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound sirloin steak Offers a rich, flavorful base that stays tender when grilled.
  • 1 cup colorful bell peppers, chopped Provide a sweet crunch and vibrant color to the dish.
  • 2 tablespoons avocado olive oil Adds healthy fats and helps achieve a nice grill.
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt Enhances the natural flavors of the steak and vegetables.
  • 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper Delivers a touch of heat and depth to each bite.
  • 1 medium red onion, cut into wedges Adds sweetness and a mild bite, complementing the other flavors.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the grill. Set your grill to medium high heat for optimal cooking.
  2. Trim the steak. Remove any excess fat and cut the steak into bite-sized cubes for easy grilling.
  3. Soak the skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning during grilling.
  4. Thread the ingredients. Alternate threading the steak, onions, and bell peppers onto the skewers for a colorful presentation.
  5. Brush with oil. Lightly coat the skewers with avocado olive oil and season them to your taste.
Cooking
  1. Grill the skewers. Place them on the grill for about 2 minutes on each side, totaling 4-6 minutes for medium rare, or 6-8 minutes for more well done.
  2. Season and enjoy. Sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper before serving for added flavor.

Notes

These skewers are great for meal prep and can be made in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Serve with dips for added flavor.
