  • 1 lb Fresh shrimp Chopped into small pieces, patted dry
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs For crispy texture
  • 2 Eggs To bind the mixture
  • 2 each Green onions Chopped
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice For freshness
  • 1 tbsp Oil For frying
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder Optional, for extra flavor
  • 1 tsp Paprika Optional, for color and flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, breadcrumbs, and seasonings.
  2. Add eggs and lemon juice, mixing until well incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into cakes, about 2 inches wide.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat (around 350°F or 175°C).
  2. Fry the cakes for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  3. Transfer cooked cakes to a paper towel to drain excess oil.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding minced garlic or herbs to the mix. Chill the formed cakes for 15-30 minutes before frying to help them hold their shape.
