  1. Prepare the potatoes by placing peeled, washed, and diced potatoes in a medium saucepan and cover with cold water. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and return to the pan.
  2. Mash the potatoes by combining cream and butter, microwaving until warm, then adding to potatoes and mashing until smooth. Stir in cream cheese, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  1. In a skillet, heat oil and sauté onion for 1 minute. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  2. Add ground meat, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Stir in tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, herbs, and optional beef broth; simmer covered for 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the carrot, corn, and peas.
Assembly and Baking

Notes

For best results, use a potato ricer for the fluffiest mashed potatoes. You can also add a dash of garlic powder or onion powder to the potatoes for extra flavor. Try mixing different types of cheeses into the mashed potatoes for a gourmet twist. Let the shepherd's pie cool slightly before serving to help it hold its shape.
