Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash and slice the fresh peaches, discarding the pits.
- In a bowl, combine sliced peaches with sugar and cinnamon. Let them sit for 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and remaining sugar.
- Add melted butter and milk to the dry mixture, stirring until just combined.
Baking
- Pour the peach mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Spoon the batter over the peaches, trying to cover them as much as possible.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence. You can prepare the peach mixture a day in advance to save time.
