Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and slice the fresh peaches, discarding the pits.
  3. In a bowl, combine sliced peaches with sugar and cinnamon. Let them sit for 10 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and remaining sugar.
  5. Add melted butter and milk to the dry mixture, stirring until just combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the peach mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  2. Spoon the batter over the peaches, trying to cover them as much as possible.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence. You can prepare the peach mixture a day in advance to save time.
