  • 1 pound boneless rib eye steak, thinly sliced Thinly sliced for tender bites.
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos A savory substitute for soy sauce, adds umami.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Natural sweetness balances the flavors.
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil Adds a rich, nutty flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced For aromatic depth.
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger Provides warmth and spice.
  • 1 tablespoon Korean red pepper paste Adds heat and color.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Used for sautéing to a golden finish.
  • 2 green onions, sliced For garnishing and a fresh touch.
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds For garnish, offering crunch and flavor.
  • 2 cups cooked rice Optional serving base to soak up the sauce.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the sliced rib eye steak in a large Ziploc bag.
  2. In a small bowl, combine coconut aminos, honey, toasted sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and Korean red pepper paste.
  3. Add the sauce to the beef in the Ziploc bag and stir to combine.
  4. Marinate the meat for at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor.
Cooking
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add half of the marinated meat and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned.
  3. Repeat with the remaining meat and another tablespoon of oil.
Serving
  1. Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
  2. Serve over cooked rice, if desired.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate the beef overnight. Pair with lightly steamed vegetables for a health boost.
