Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F with the rack in the upper middle position.
- Place parchment paper on a baking sheet and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well incorporated.
- Incorporate the yogurt and mix with a fork until the mixture forms a shaggy, crumbly dough.
- Transfer the dough to a clean work surface dusted with flour. Knead until the dough comes together and no crumbs remain.
Shaping & Baking
- Divide the dough into 4 equal balls and roll each into a 3/4 inch thick rope; join and seal the ends to form a circle.
- Brush the top of each bagel with the egg wash (egg mixed with water).
- Sprinkle the tops with everything bagel seasoning if desired.
- Bake for 25 minutes, watching closely toward the end to ensure they don’t over-brown.
- Allow the bagels to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing in half and serving.
