- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and yeast.
- Add the water and stir to combine to form a shaggy, wet dough.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 12-18 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
- Place a Dutch oven in the oven to heat for 30 minutes.
- On a floured surface, form the dough into a round shape and transfer it using parchment paper into the hot Dutch oven.
- Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover.
- Bake another 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
This bread can be flavored with herbs, cheese, or dried fruits. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.
