  • 1 tsp ground mustard Provides a slight tanginess that brightens the flavors.
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne Offers an extra kick for those who enjoy heat.
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Adds subtle spiciness to enhance flavor complexity.
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley for garnish A pop of color to brighten the presentation.

Method

Preparation
  1. Add chicken to the Crockpot. Place the boneless, skinless chicken thighs at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Combine ingredients. Add all the other ingredients directly to the chicken in the slow cooker. Stir gently to ensure they are well mixed.
Cooking
  1. Cook on high or low. Set the Crockpot on high and cook for 3-4 hours, or on low for 5-6 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Serving
  1. Garnish and serve. Once done, keep the chicken whole and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy it with pilaf, baked potatoes, or shredded in tacos and sandwiches.

Notes

For best results, keep the lid on while cooking to prevent moisture loss. Use homemade BBQ sauce for enhanced flavor. The chicken can be shredded before serving for easier consumption. Avoid overcrowding the slow cooker for even cooking.
