Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups walnuts Raw, shelled walnuts provide the base.
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt Enhances the flavor balance.
  • 2 tablespoons honey Adds natural sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil Contributes to a smooth and rich texture.

Method

Preparation
  1. Add walnuts to the food processor. Place the raw, shelled walnuts into the bowl of your food processor.
Processing
  1. Turn the processor on high and blend, stopping 3-4 times to scrape down the sides with a spatula and allowing the processor to rest. Continue processing until smooth and creamy, about 10-15 minutes.
  2. If desired, add the sea salt, honey, and coconut oil to the walnut mixture. Process again until fully smooth and all ingredients are combined, for 1 more minute.
Storage
  1. Use the walnut butter right away or transfer it to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to four weeks.

Notes

For a sweeter option, increase the honey. Scrape down the sides of the processor frequently for an even consistency. For a chunkier texture, process less and leave some pieces intact. Add cinnamon or vanilla for added flavor.
