Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt, mixing just until combined.
  5. Pour the brownie mixture into the baking dish, smoothing into an even layer.
  6. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar, egg yolk, coconut extract, and flour until smooth.
  7. Gently fold in the sweetened shredded coconut.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture onto the brownie layer and swirl with a knife.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
