Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) with the fan off.
  2. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Beat the softened butter and white sugar together for 2-3 minutes until fluffy.
  4. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, sea salt, and cornstarch.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing well.
  7. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and dark chocolate chunks.
  8. If the dough is too dry, add milk to reach the desired consistency.
  9. Use a scoop to place tablespoon-sized balls of dough on the baking sheet, keeping them 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Place in the oven and bake for 9-11 minutes until the edges are golden but the center remains soft.
  2. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream or a glass of milk. They can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
