- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the croutons.
- Cut your bread into cubes and spread them on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper; toss to coat.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- While the croutons bake, chop the romaine lettuce and place it in a large bowl.
- Slice the cooked chicken breast into strips and add them to the lettuce.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese and toss everything together.
- Once the croutons are done, let them cool slightly, then add them to the salad.
- Drizzle Caesar dressing over the top and toss until everything is well-coated.
- Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a sprinkle of black pepper.
Notes
For best results, use day-old bread for croutons. Swap chicken for grilled shrimp or tofu for a different protein. Prep ingredients ahead for quicker assembly during busy mealtimes.
