Cooking
- Stir the melted butter into the flour mixture until it resembles a crumbly texture.
- Press half of the crumb mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 15-20 minutes until set.
- Mix brown sugar into the remaining crumb mixture for the topping.
- Spread the cherry mixture over the baked crust, then sprinkle with the reserved crumb mixture.
- Bake for an additional 25 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
- Allow the bars to cool completely for 3-4 hours before slicing into squares.
