  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or almond extract Enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries Provides sweetness and a pop of fruity freshness.
  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs Offers crunch and a delightful chocolate kick.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine the milk, oats, cacao powder, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a bowl or large container with a lid.
  2. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined. If using frozen cherries, stir them in now.
Chill
  1. Seal the container with a lid or plastic wrap to prevent any odors from the fridge.
  2. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
Serve
  1. Just before serving, fold in your fresh cherries if using instead of frozen.
  2. Spoon your overnight oats into four separate bowls and top with the cacao nibs and extra cherries, if desired.
  3. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Notes

For extra creaminess, use full-fat milk or a plant-based alternative. Consider adding nuts or seeds for a crunchy texture boost.
