Ingredients

For the Pasta
  • 8 oz spaghetti Or any pasta of choice
For the Sauce and Steak
  • 1 tbsp butter For sautéing
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak Provides flavorful protein
  • 1 tsp salt To enhance flavor
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Adds depth
  • 1 medium green bell pepper For sweetness and crunch
  • 1 medium yellow onion For sweetness and aroma
  • 8 oz mushrooms For earthy contrast
  • 2 cloves garlic For robust flavor
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce For savory depth
  • 2 cups beef broth Liquid base for pasta
For the Cheese
  • 4 oz provolone cheese Melts beautifully
  • 4 oz American cheese Additional creaminess

Method

Preparation
  1. Season the steak on both sides with steak seasoning or salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. Transfer the steak to a plate and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, and garlic. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
  4. Turn the skillet to high heat, then add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Once boiling, add the spaghetti and stir frequently, cooking until the pasta is al dente.
  5. Fold the reserved vegetables into the pasta.
  6. Add both cheeses on top of the pasta and allow to set for 1 minute. Stir the melted cheese into the mixture until well combined.
  7. Slice the steak against the grain and place it on top of the pasta.

Notes

For maximum flavor, use a meat thermometer to ensure perfect steak doneness, and allow the steak to rest before slicing.
