  • 0.25 cups Unsalted butter (melted)
Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup Sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tablespoons Minced fresh parsley

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, garlic powder, and cayenne.
  3. Stir in the cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and melted butter.
  5. Pour the buttermilk mixture over the dry ingredients and mix gently using a rubber spatula just until moist.
  6. Using a greased 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop out even portions of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, ensuring a 1-inch gap between biscuits.

  2. While the biscuits are baking, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley.
  3. Remove the biscuits from the oven and immediately brush with the butter mixture.
  4. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, serve warm with a pat of butter or drizzle of honey. Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for up to three days in an airtight container.
