Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a heatproof bowl, dissolve sugar and salt in the warm water.
  2. Stir in vegetable oil to the water mixture.
  3. Use your hand to incorporate the flour until a dough forms.
  4. Knead for 3-5 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Shape the rested dough into a rectangle and drizzle it with oil.
  2. Cut the dough into strips and roll each strip into a spiral, flattening slightly.
  3. Preheat a frying pan over medium-low heat.
  4. Roll each piece into a circular shape.
  5. Cook on the pan, flipping until they are lightly browned on both sides.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with your choice of curry or stew.

Notes

For best results, ensure the water is warm, not hot. Don't skip resting time. Use additional flour for rolling if needed.
