Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F and allow it to heat for 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough into a 14-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
- Spray a 12-inch cast iron skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
- Move the dough to the skillet, working it halfway up the sides to form a crust.
- Brush 1 tablespoon of olive oil on top, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and oregano, and poke holes to vent.
- Place the skillet on the lower rack and bake for 5 minutes, then dab away excess oil.
Baking
- Top with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and optional toppings.
- Return to the lower rack and bake for 10 more minutes.
- Brush the crust with melted butter, transfer to the upper rack, and broil at 425 degrees F for 1 minute, watching closely.
- Allow to rest for 3 to 5 minutes before sliding onto a cutting board. Slice and serve.
