  2. Line an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil, leaving an overhang, and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined.
  4. Whisk in the room temperature egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
  6. Stir in the butterscotch chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Spread the batter into the prepared pan evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is just set and the edges start to pull away from the sides.
  2. Allow to cool in the pan for at least 1 hour until fully set.
  3. Lift the bars out using the overhang and slice on a cutting board.
