  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Enhances overall flavor and balances sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips Provides melty chocolate goodness in every bite.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving some of the paper hanging over the edges.
  2. In a large bowl, add almond butter, chocolate protein powder, almond flour, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until evenly combined. If too dry, add extra maple syrup.
  3. Add mini chocolate chips and mix again until well distributed.
  4. Transfer the dough to the loaf pan and press it down evenly; optionally, press extra chocolate chips into the top.
  5. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or freeze for 5-10 minutes to set.
  6. Lift the parchment paper to remove the dough from the pan and slice into 8 bars.
  7. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Notes

These protein bars are versatile, lower in sugar compared to traditional brownies, and make for great snacks on the go. Use natural almond butter for a creamier consistency and adjust the sweetness based on preference.
