Preparation
- Boil the potatoes until fork-tender, mash, and let cool.
- Add the cooled mashed potatoes and warm milk to your bread machine.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the bread machine.
- Cut butter into small pieces and add it to the mixture.
- Select the dough setting on your bread machine and start it.
- Once the cycle is complete, remove the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Shape the dough into rolls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let the rolls rise for another 15-20 minutes until doubled in size.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter if desired.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for a better rise. Substitute whole wheat flour for a healthier option. Keep your yeast fresh by storing it in the fridge. For best results, allow enough rise time and avoid overbaking.
