For the Vegetables
  • 2 cups bell peppers, sliced Any color of bell pepper can be used.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds aromatic depth.
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar Balances flavors with sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar Adds a tangy brightness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Marinate the beef by placing the sliced beef steak in a bowl with cornstarch, sesame oil, black pepper, and soy sauce. Stir well and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add beef in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add bell peppers to the pan and stir-fry for about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Return the beef to the pan, sprinkle with brown sugar, and add rice vinegar and more black pepper. Add a splash of water and stir for 1 minute.
Serving
  1. Remove from heat and serve hot.
