For the crust
  • 24 cookies Oreo crumbs Forms the crust, offering a crunchy and sweet base.
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted Binds Oreo crumbs together for a sturdy crust.
For the topping
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream Whipped to a peak for a light finishing touch.
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar Sweetens the cream for a delicious topping.

Preparation
  1. Make the chocolate ganache. Heat the heavy whipping cream in a saucepan until simmering, then pour it over the chocolate chips and butter. Stir until smooth and rest at room temperature for 10 minutes.
Crust Preparation
  1. Grease a 9-inch pie dish, mix Oreo crumbs with melted butter, press into the dish, and freeze for 20 minutes.
Filling Preparation
  1. Fold the whipped topping into the cooled ganache and pour into the crust. Chill for at least 3 hours.
Topping Application
  1. Whip cold heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over the pie, then add cherry pie filling before serving.

Notes

This pie can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for a few days, allowing the flavors to meld. It's best served cold or at room temperature. Can try adding different pie fillings like raspberry or blueberry for a twist.
